During the peak of the breeding season, the male Albert's Lyrebird sings for up to four hours a day. Each stanza can continue unbroken for up to one hour. The song is a loud rich medley of calls like "caw-cree-craw-craw-wheat" and a mellow rising "wooo" and includes mimicry of a range of other bird species. |
